May sees the launch of Premier Weekends with Premier Inn

On the 24th of May, Premier Inn’s latest TV ad, which features British comic Lenny Henry, was aired as part of a drive by the UK’s largest chain of budget hotels to encourage Britons to enjoy their weekends more. The £12 million promotion extolled the virtues of the budget hotel chain’s ‘Premier Weekends’, and recommend that Britons take advantage of Premier Inn’s good value weekend breaks.

The ads are designed to champion the superior budget hotel accommodation that Premier Inn offers, and positions Premier Inn as the leisure traveller’s top choice of hotel. Two versions of the new TV ads featured in the campaign, showing Lenny Henry relishing a variety of holiday activities, ranging from a spot of golf to trying his hand at fishing and taking a country break.

The highlight of the communications is ‘Premier Offers’, Premier Inn’s best budget room offer, which allows guests to book a room that sleeps up to a four-member family for only £29 per night per room. Premier Inn’s head of marketing, Steve Conway, says that the ‘Premier Weekends’ promotion cements the budget hotel chain’s position as the UK’s top hotel brand, and illustrates its hotels’ top-class locations.
